Battlefield Bad Company 2 Server

The DaDs Army is now hosting a Battlefield Bad Company 2 Server. You'll find our server in the in-game browse list as The DaDs Army. The server currently supports 24 slots and we'll evaluate expanding that in the future if need be. Non DaDs players may be booted to make room for our paying members.

EA is having some connection issues with their game servers but we're confident it will be resolved soon. Member feedback is encouraged in our forum on how we should administer our BFBC2 server.

Star Wars: Galatic Warfare Mod Running at DaDs

The DaDs Army is now running the Star Wars: Galatic Warfare Mod on CoD4 server 69.28.220.115:28961. Once you connect to the server the mod and maps will download automatically. The mod is a total conversion mod that will take you into the Star Wars Universe. You will play as a soldier from the Rebel Alliance or as a trooper of the Imperial Forces using Star Wars weapons and playing on some of the well know locations in the classic Star Wars Universe. The mod is a beta, so it is a work in progress and will be updated on our server as the patches are released.

Vietnam Mod Running at DaDs

The DaDs Army is now running the Vietnam Mod on CoD5 server 69.28.220.116. Once you connect to the server the mod and maps will download automatically. The mod will take you to the Vietnam War, deep in Vietnam, where you will fight new battles between the NVA/Vietcongs and the US 1st Cavalry. The mod is a work in progress and will be updated on our server as the patches are released.

Call of Duty: World at War PC Patch 1.7

The CoD5 1.7 patch has been released. All DaDs CoD5 servers have been patched to this version. This patch fixes a MP server crash exploit. Fixes a voice chat crash on systems with no default recording device selected. Fixes an issue causing erroneous duplicate qport errors. Finally, server admins can disable team switching by setting g_allow_teamchange to 0. Players will be restricted to Auto-Assign in team-based gametypes. The patch can be downloaded from the DaDs files section or download it directly from HERE.

Infinity Ward Snubs PC CoD Community

The DaDs Army members have spoken and support the boycott of MW2 if changes are not made. Infinity Ward's PC version of the new shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will lack dedicated servers and mod tools. If Infinity Ward is successful in not allowing dedicated servers, other game makers will follow suit. It will be the beginning of the end for multiplayer games as we know and love them.

You'll be directed into a server that "suits" you. Along with a bunch of immature 12 year olds. No more clans, no more playing with who you want to when you want to. We do not want "console style" gaming on our PC's.

Call of Duty: World at War PC Patch 1.6

The CoD5 1.6 patch has been released. It includes 3 new multiplayer maps and a new Nazi zombie map. It includes several fixes to various crashes and exploits. The DaDs CoD servers are now all patched to version 1.6. DaDs members can find the new patch in the DaDs files section or download it directly from HERE.

  • Bonn : I can't seem to connect to the DaDs BFBC2 server. It keeps saying to check my connection.
  • Ricky : YES!!! Seems like a fresh install helped a lot. Tried it and had a ping between 300-380. Much better than it used to be. I even had control of the player.
  • Ricky : I got a great deal with my Internet provider as well. They offered me a new router for half the price.

  • Grave.:.Digger : I know that if I plug directly into my router, I get about 12 MB down speed, but using my wireless portion of the router (Linksys), I only average about 2MB down speed. Cheap routers with wireless don't have great coverage and it's made worse by my $5 wireless card in my pc. I would actually replace your wireless network card in the pc before messing with the router. Good luck!
  • Ricky : Ok. I think I'm gonna wait till my new router comes. It has wireless and router in one box. Now I have two boxes.
  • Burner : I think ping goes from your router to the server, and not from your PC to the router. Ricky contact your ISP tech support? Maybe do a tracert to the game server.
  • Kebab : So is your connection wireless Ricky that could be the reason for the higher pings i,am connected direct to the router and my pings are stable at 141ms
  • Ricky : Nope it isn't.. Still have a ping about 400-999. Have forewarded ports as well. Have now ordered a new router and also improved the speed from 3500 -->5000 Kb/s. Hope this will improve. Used the Speedtouch 510 and also the wireless D-Link 524.
  • Kebab : I have just had a half hour jump about on our server and the game is running so much faster and smoother since last night i dont know what they have done but you can run really fast now and the game is as smooth as silk
  • Bonn : I'm giving BFBC2 a chance... some really cool things about it, but some really bad things too.

  • Burner : BFBC2 PC server R6 is going to server providers now. This server version should stop all the PB INIT errors that have been happening.
  • HolyFonz : I think it is hard to compare COD4/5 and BFBC2. The only thing similar in my opinion is that they are both FPS. It's that different. It would be like comparing DOOM and COD4.
